Description
You cannot confuse buckwheat honey with another type of honey because in a liquid form it has, most frequently, a dark-amber or brown colour and a very strong aroma of buckwheat flowers. After crystallisation buckwheat honey has a crystallised (fine-grained) consistency and a lighter colour than its liquid form.
In a liquid form it has a typical strong aroma of buckwheat flowers and clear, a bit pungent. Thanks to this taste it can be added to bake fragrant pies, such as gingerbread or a carrot pie. After crystallisation its taste becomes a bit gentler. The most precious substance in buckwheat honey is Routine (Vitamin P) appearing in buckwheat flowers.
Raw buckwheat honey has not been heated, filtered, blended or processed. All of the pollen, enzymes, propolis, vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and aromatics are in the same condition as they were in the hive.
Harvested in ecologically clean east part of Poland, considered one of the best areas in Europe.
