Description
Sage honey A unique and flavorful honey that is medium sweet and slow to crystalize. This honey comes from the vibrant blossoms of the clary sage plant.
This variety of sage starts to bloom in late May and continues into June. We sourced this particular crop from Moldova. The color ranges from white to extra white, and the honey is a bit cloudy. Due to a low moisture content, this honey is very thick; it is almost chewy when cold. It does not taste anything like fresh sage leaves. It has a very pleasant blend of fruity and spicy notes, which lingers on the palate.
